DESCRIPTION: APW - Elgin, B.W. Raymond, 15J, 18S, heavy 14K multicolor gold false box hinge original HC with majestic buck image to rear, initialed shield to front, gold cuvette, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#5205328. Gross weight of assembled watch 92.3 dwt (143.7 g). A very impressive case with superb engraving detail and substantial in hand presence.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some fine to micro-fine scratches, one case screw is a replacement with smaller sized head; excellent dial with small edge chip near 8 that is largely under bezel, some additional small edge chips and flakes elsewhere that are fully under bezel; excellent hands, minute with bend near its base and some oxide to its hub; case shows hardly any wear, mild dents to band at 5:30 and 11:30, mild ding to upper front perimeter which is mainly evident to inner surface of lid, excellent engraving detail, cuvette with scuffing at perimeter from slipped past openings, front lid hangs up a bit on tip of setting lever when opening causing front to need a small nudge to release; tight bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
